First I would like to say thank you for the opportunity to serve as your president. With your help I think all will go well.

At General Assembly we voted to support Amendment #3 in November.  This deals with the diversion of funds from MoDot.  We believe the passage of Amendment #3 will put between 180 to 200 million dollars back into MoDots budget.  We need your support, your family and friends.  Please ask them to support amendment #3.

Our next Board meeting will be September 11, 2004 at the Ramada Inn, 1510 Jefferson St, Jefferson City.  The meeting will start at 9:00a.m., lunch will be provided.  We need you to let us know how many will be coming from your chapter so we will have enough food.  Please let us know how many from your chapter will be attending as soon as possible either to Colleen or myself.  If you are planning on staying at the hotel you will need to make your own room reservations, the phone number is 573-635-7171.  Be sure and ask for the Government Rate.  I would like to set the dates for the rest of the years meetings, so everyone can plan ahead.  If your chapter would like to host a meeting, that would be great!

We will be having a Legislative Committee meeting on Friday evening at 7:30p.m.also at the Ramada.  I hope this will give you time to get down there.  It is very important to have a representative from each chapter present.
