Fellow Members;

The Legislative session is in full swing and so far it looks very promising. Harry Hill and his staff have done an outstanding job representing us!! Scott Banes and myself testified on the work zone safety bill, in both the senate and the house hearings. The legislators received us well and were generally concerned for our safety. I think things should go well.

There are many bills going around in Jefferson City that could affect us. Harry is staying on top of them. The Capital Reports are being published on the web site, moshea.org. Please take a look and distribute them to your members.

Our next meeting will be April 18^th at the Ramada Inn. We will have a short meeting starting at 9:00am in the Stratford Room. Lunch will be served, then off to the Capital for Lobby Day/Ice Cream Social. Lobby Day will be from 2:00pm to 6:00pm.

If you are planning on going down on Sunday you need to make your room reservations. Ramada Inns phone number is 573-635-7171. Don’t forget to ask for the government rate. Also would you please let me know by April 11^th how many members will be attending the meeting from your chapter, so we can get a count for lunch. You can email me at moinmo@sbcglobal.net or give me a call 816-254-7136. If you have anyone that doesn’t want to attend the meeting, but would like to attend the Ice Cream Social that is fine too. We need a good showing at the Capital.

I would like us all to wear our safety vest, so we really stand out. This has been approved!! Please bring yours with you.
